Hand Luggage on airBaltic Flights

Economy MINI passengers may bring only 1 personal item. Its maximum size is 40 × 30 × 15 cm, and the total weight must not exceed 8 kg. This item must fit under the seat in front of you. It can be a small backpack, handbag, laptop bag, camera bag, or umbrella.
Economy BASIC, Economy CLASSIC and Economy FLEX passengers may bring:
- 1 personal item – 40 × 30 × 15 cm;
- 1 cabin bag – 55 × 40 × 23 cm;
- Total weight – up to 8 kg.
BUSINESS and Business EXPERIENCE passengers may bring:
- 1 personal item – 40 × 30 × 15 cm;
- 2 cabin bags – each up to 55 × 40 × 23 cm;
- Total weight – up to 24 kg.
Heavier Hand Luggage up to 12 kg
If you want to carry more items in the cabin, airBaltic allows passengers to increase the hand luggage weight allowance to 12 kg for an additional fee. This option is available for Economy MINI, Economy BASIC, Economy CLASSIC and Economy FLEX passengers.
The size and number of cabin baggage items do not change. Passengers who purchase the heavier cabin baggage service also receive priority boarding after business class passengers.

Checked Baggage on airBaltic Flights
The checked baggage allowance also depends on the ticket type.
BUSINESS, Business EXPERIENCE and Economy FLEX passengers are allowed 2 checked baggage items. Each bag may measure up to 100 × 50 × 80 cm. The maximum total weight is 46 kg, while one baggage item may not exceed 32 kg.
Economy CLASSIC passengers are allowed 1 checked baggage item weighing up to 23 kg. The maximum size is 100 × 50 × 80 cm.
Economy MINI and Economy BASIC tickets do not include checked baggage. Checked baggage can be purchased separately during booking, through the “Manage my booking” section, or via the airBaltic call centre. Buying baggage through the call centre may cost more.
Important Things to Know Before Your Flight
If your journey includes connecting, codeshare or interline flights with other airlines, different baggage rules may apply. In this case, it is best to check the baggage conditions for each flight segment separately. If the rules are different, follow the stricter requirements to avoid surprises at the airport.
